Bei dem Buch "The 100 Best" handelt es sich um ein 400 Seiten großes Paperback in englischer Sprache welches von James Lowder von Green Ronin Publishing herausgegeben wird. Es erscheint voraussichtlich am 30. September und kostet 20 Euro (UVP). In dem Paperback "Hobby Games: The 100 Best" schreiben die Top Spieldesigner, Autoren und Herausgeber über die 100 unterhaltsamsten Spiele der letzten 50 Jahre. Dabei streifen sie sowohl Rollenspiele, Sammelkartenspiele, Miniaturkriegssimulationen als auch Brettspiele. Sie schreiben über die Spiele, die sie selbst gerne spielen und kreativ auf sie einwirkten. Das Vorwort wurde von keinem anderen als Reiner Knizia verfasst welcher schon über 200 Spiele entwickelt hat. Während das Nachwort von SPI Gründer und Kriegsspiellegende James F. Dunnigan stammt.
