Cabals: The Board Game

The First World War is over and it is time to choose your side. Underground secret societies, or rather cabals, are battling for world domination. Containing spies, witches, faeries, magicians and other creatures from all over the world you must select your cabal wisely.

Cabals: The Board Game brings together key deck building mechanics with board control in a new battle that can either be won through board domination or conquering the opponents stronghold. Once the battleground has been constructed the luck of the draw and your deck building skills dictate what creatures you have at your disposal. Units battle one another backed up by spells and lead by a single hero for your deck from one of the four cabals.

The turn sequence comprises of gaining domination points, gaining resources, drawing cards, the main strategic phase (containing combat) and ending your turn. Resources dictate what cards you can use and this combined with loyalty points (depending on the cabals and their allegiances) the player has a deep, strategic game to conquer on many levels. The game is based on the digital Cabals: Magic & Battle Cards and these same key mechanics prevail but this version has more streamlined gameplay suitable to a tabletop game.
