Mapello

Mapello is a Reversi derivative designed by Simon M. Lucas that includes some special pieces that add new features to the game. These pieces are placed on the board to create a particular board configuration before the main game starts:

- Walls (8 gray squared pieces): They act like the walls of the board border, but placed inside the board. They are immovable obstacles that cannot be played on.
- Bonuses (8 blue discs): They reward the player with extra points when captured.
- Jokers (8 red squared pieces. Addition by Néstor Romeral Andrés): They are placed on the border and act as pieces of the colour of the player in turn.
