In the manner of Piet Mondrian and the other artists of the De Stijl movement, you willcreate a masterpiece of straight lines and primary colors. De Stijl is an elegantly simple game that challenges your spatial reasoning and foresight as you place and overlap cards.
You and the other players each claim one color as your own. On each turn, you lay down one card, overlapping cards that competing artists have already placed. Each separate area of your color earns you one point, but the largest areas of color also earn bonuses at the end of the game. How well can you balance having the most areas of color with having the largest areas of color?
